How to Make Cashew Butter in a Blender or Food Processor

A delicious creamy homemade cashew butter made with cashews.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups (250 g) raw or roasted cashews
Instructions
  1. Add the cashews to a high speed blender or food processor and blend. After a few minutes the cashews turn into a paste that starts to stick to the sides.
  2. When the blender starts spinning without being able to reach the paste, stop it and scrape down the paste from the sides. Then blend again. You will need to repeat this several times.
  3. When the paste gets smooth enought for the blender to keep spinning, continue to blend until you have a creamy cashew butter*. Remember to give the machine some breaks so it doesn't overheat.
  4. Store your homemade cashew butter in an airtight glass jar. Last many months.
Notes
*If you haven't had cashew butter before, think of the consistency of almond- or peanutbutter.
