Every month I’m on the watch for new tasty organic and eco-friendly products, that are healthy for us and the planet.
This Winter Favorites includes organic certified backpacks, organic pillows with cereal-fillings, organic reusable coffee cups as well as stone paper (not organic but eco-friendly) and new tasty vegans snacks.
I’ve also included an organic vitamin C supplement with special ingredients that help keep your body strong and healthy during the cold winter.
All of them you can order online if you live in the EU and some of them also through amazon.com (for US delivery).
Where I found the products: most of them I discovered during a visit to the Nordic Organic Food Fair in Malmø, Sweden – a big product trade show where companies from all around the world showcase their newest organic products to the industry.
7 New Organic Products to Look For
1. Organic Buckwheat Pillows
Buckwheat is not only something you eat, now you can also rest your head on it during sleep.
The brand Plantule has created a line of sleep- and yoga pillows filled with organic buckwheat instead of feathers. This creates a pillow that keeps the same shape during the night and as a bonus, you can adjust the amount of filling and hereby the pillow size.
A cool feature is that you can get organic lavender added to the filling to promote a peaceful sleep. Available is also spelt or emmer fillings as well as organic pillow covers.
Price: 35 Euro (pillow) 20 Euro (pillow cover). Buy here: plantule.com
2. Rawsage – the First Raw & Vegan Sausage
Now you can enjoy a delicious sausage that’s both vegan and raw. The Rawsage which is created by Lifefood, is the first of it’s kind and is really tasty.
It has a savory, spicy sausage flavour that leaves you with a delightful satisfaction. The consistency is of course not the same as a cooked vegetarian or real sausage as this is raw, but that doesn’t make it less good.
It’s made with healthy ingredients and does not contain any wheat protein or soy (as most vegan meat-products do). Instead it’s made with brazil nuts, sundried tomatoes, onions, garlic, raisins, hemp seeds and spices, all organic.
Price: £1.49 pr. bar (25g). On amazon you can get a pack of 15 for £21.49. Buy here: amazon.co.uk or at Lifefood online store.
3. Organic Vitamin C Supplement From SHIFT
This vitamin C from norwegian SHIFT, is made with organic Amalika fruit powder, and does not contain any synthesised vitamin C.
This means you get the whole spectrum of nutrients found in the fruit, and not just isolated vitamin C.
Amalika is also known as Amla or indian gooseberry and has been well-studied. It’s known to be an adaptogen, with a large range of powerful antioxidants and to also have anti-inflammatory properties (1).
Price: 34.8 Euro for 60 tablets with 200mg. vitamin C. Buy it here: Supervital.no (Norwegian website).

4. Notebook with Stonepaper from Onyx+Green
Onyx+Green has created a revolutionary line of school and office products made from mainly natural or recycled materials.
One of my favorites is their notebook made with stone paper. Because it’s made with stone, the paper is both strong and water resistant (pretty cool right?) and free from wood (saves a lot of trees that would otherwise have been cut down).
The insert sheet is made with recycled paper and soy-based ink. Other cool products from the brand include pens made from recycled water bottles or bamboo. See the full line of products here: Onyx-Green.
Price: from £5.62. Buy here: amazon.co.uk or amazon.com (price: from $6.56)

Melawear has created a beautiful backpack which is the first to be both fairtrade and certified organic (it carries the GOTS certification).

This cool ecoffee cup is made with organic biodegradable bamboo fibre and contains no plastic (meaning safe from BPA and Phthalates).
It comes with a food grade silicone lit and sleeve which the company behind is working on making biodegradable as well.
It’s perfect for bringing your favorite hot drinks with you on the road, or use for your to-go-coffee, matcha latte or tea in cafes instead of the single-use-coffee cups.
It comes in a variety of colors and prints and you can even get your own logo on it. The company also has a line of organic bamboo dining sets for kids (see it here).
