Watermelon juice might be one of the most delicious ways to enjoy the red meat of watermelon. It’s sweet, refreshing and satisfying, especially served cold.
And then it has several health benefits, including being one of the best sources of Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that helps fight free radicals.
Furthermore a study from 2013, showed that drinking watermelon juice before your workout, might help prevent sore muscles afterwards. Pretty cool eh?
As a bonus, one big glas (500ml) only counts for 150 calories.
Watermelon Juice Recipe:
Watermelon juice is really simply to make, all you need is a juicer, a watermelon and a few minutes.
1-2 persons (yields around 500ml of juice).
Ingredients: 500g. organic watermelon
How to? Chop up your watermelon in pieces that can go through your juicer, juice it and serve the red watermelon drink in a long tall glass.
Calories pr. serving (-around 500mL.) 150 Cal.
Tip: If you keep your melon in the fridge before juicing it, the drink will be cold when you have it which I find extra delicious.
